The founder of this website started as a U.S. Army medic and transitioned into a nurse while serving in San Antonio, Texas. Volunteering for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, he took care of desperately sick individuals who had been devastated by high winds and flooding. He then went on to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. where he took care of wounded warriors returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Witnessing the terrible outcome of war on our soldiers, he returned to civilian life and began serving our country in other ways. Founding a company called "Disaster Medical Teams" he was unable to attain enough funding to maintain the organization.
Seeing people from all walks of life unable to afford medical care gave him the idea of a website designed for every type of person. A very small membership fee would allow for all people to be able to converse with a board certified nurse at any given time. The frustration most people have with our healthcare system is that we don't get answers to our questions. People cannot afford insurance, copays or deductibles. This website alleviates all problems. With determination, 24HourNurse.com will be able to serve all those in need 24 hours a day.
